Measure, then pick

Cloth tape

A cloth tape is the tool. Measure the wrist, then the knuckle path for a closed bangle. Write both numbers down. Do not guess from a photo of stacked bangles. Do not use a metal ruler on a wrist that is already swollen from the walk.

Closed ring versus side slide

A closed bangle is a complete ring. It has to pass the hand. An open cuff has a gap and slides from the side, so the hand path is not the test. Measure the wrist for the cuff. Measure wrist and knuckle for the closed ring. Do not stack closed bangles you have not measured.
