Cuff

A band that holds a place. Open cuffs slide on from the side and leave a gap. Hinged cuffs close. Engraved and narrow stack cuffs are still cuffs.

Gap. Wide enough to clear the bone, not so wide the cuff walks off in a park queue.

Sit. In afternoon heat along I-4, prefer comfort over close. A cuff that felt perfect in a hotel lobby can leave a line after a parking-lot walk.

If you want more than one cuff, say how many. Leave a little skin between them.

Links. Link, box, rope, and slider all need ease on the wrap so the line can move. A box chain is quieter. A rope has a twist. A slider is set after it is on.

Ease. Send the wrap, then say close, comfort, or loose. An 18-inch neck length is not a wrist.

Stack partner. Next to a cuff, give the chain a little more ease so it does not saw on the cuff edge. Park the clasp away from a gap or hinge.

Take a chain off before a hotel pool. Wipe it dry after a park week.

Bracelet that takes added pieces

The starter is the bracelet. The keep is how you add later. Measure it like a chain, and leave room as the line fills. A starter that was comfort-fit empty will sit closer once pieces hang on it.

Busy line. This family usually wants to be the only busy line on that wrist. Put a quiet cuff or a slim chain beside it, not on top of hanging pieces.
